Vice Principal, Mr. Brian Mckertish’s Birthday Celebrations

It is said that:
‘Our age is merely the number of years that the world has been enjoying us.’
We, at SJBHS, are saying: ‘Age is just a number’, especially as we celebrate the diamond birthday of our dynamic, charismatic and ‘ever young’ Vice Principal, Mr. Brian Mckertish, who celebrated his maiden birthday after taking up office as Vice Principal.

The celebrations on 12 July 2022 were short but significant. The special prayer invoked the Almighty’s grace and blessings on the birthday celebrant. The music department’s rendition of ‘May the good Lord bless and keep you’ echoed the sentiments of the entire staff.

The Primary School Administrator, Rev Fr Vishal D’Souza SJ, wished Mr. Mckertish all the very best on his special day. He also said that there are three types of people – task oriented, goal oriented and purpose oriented. According to him, the Vice Principal was of the third category as he had three outstanding qualities i.e. good listening skills, depth dimension and was a person of integrity.

The Principal, Rev Fr Sunil Fernandes SJ, in his address said that Mr. Mckertish was brilliant, responsible, had integrity, was affectionate and noble – all qualities that stood as an acronym for the birthday celebrant’s name!

The cake was cut, the birthday song sung and the token of love and respect bestowed in the form of a gift and card. The day came to an end with high tea. However, for the birthday celebrant, it was a memory to cherish forever: a day to reminiscence about and a birthday celebration that will be recalled, fondly, every year!
