Principal’s Day

On the 1 st of June, staff geared up for an early bonanza by way of the Principal’s birthday. The celebrations commenced with a prayer by staff member, Mr. Brian seeking the Almighty’s blessings on the newly appointed Principal, Rev. Fr. Sunil Cletus Fernandes S.J. Supplications were made for a long healthy and stress free life of the birthday celebrant. The prayers also asked for divine intervention in matters related to the school and the staff so that with renewed energy, SJBHS may surmount new obstacles and conquer new heights.

Rev. Fr. Brian Pereira S.J., Rector of the Bangalore Jesuit Educational Institutions, was welcomed and called upon to introduce the newly appointed chief of the school and to welcome and felicitate him on his special day.

Fr. Rector, while greeting Fr. Sunil, had only words of praise and assured him of wholehearted support from the management. Fr. Brian also gave the staff the ABCD formula: A – Accompaniment (referring to the quality of being motivators) B – Branding (referring to the uniqueness of the Jesuit holistic education) C – Collaboration (referring to team spirit) D – Dream Big (referring to the absence of complacence)

Mrs. Nalini Gupta highlighted her experiences with Fr. Sunil when he was the Administrator of the Primary School of SJBHS. The pre-primary teachers staged a well-rehearsed dance item.

Fr. Sunil’s speech began by thanking the Rector and the staff for the celebrations requesting each one to enjoy life to the fullest while leaving behind footprints of kindness, benevolence and humanity.

The cake was cut, a huge card was handed to Fr. Sunil and the auditorium resounded to the melody of the birthday song – heralding a new Principal, a new Principal’s Day and most of all a new beginning!
