Holy Mass

The Holy Mass, themed ‘New beginning,’ was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Ashwin Cordeiro SJ and Rev. Fr. Sunil Fernandes SJ on 13th July at 8:45 am, for Std I to IV, in the school chapel. Prayers, invocation, and intercession was the main purpose of the Mass. The students devoutly prayed for a great year ahead; lots of peace and happiness; and the everlasting glory of SJBHS.

The sermon reflected on Mathew chapter 9:14 - Jesus said "Let the little children come to me. Do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." The sermon highlighted the following points:
• How much Jesus loves the little children.
• Jesus laid his hands on them and touched every child and blessed them.
• Children of God are always obedient to elders and excel is everything what they do
Fr Cordeiro explained the significance of each finger of the hand and what they stood for.

The Mass concluded with words of gratitude to all those who contributed in making the service meaningful. As the little Josephites prayed, it was a delight to see the devotion, the concentration, and the faith with which they knew that in their prayers lay the answer to a smooth year ahead.
