Excitement and enthusiasm knew no bounds for the much-awaited fest PHENOMENON
2022 held on the 18 and 19 November.
Students, past and present, and their acquaintances were making enquiries about the singer,
the DJ and the events lined up for the fest as SJBHS promises a fest of fun and entertainment
for toddlers, youngsters, adolescents, parents as well as grandparents. This year was no
different, except that it was held after a pandemic break of two years. The excitement was
absolutely unrestrained!
The playground, the sports complex, the auditorium and a number of classrooms were
converted into event locales while the main stage housed strobe lights, high decibel sound
systems, smoke generating machines and other gadgetry that could accommodate events that
were related to the cultural part of the fest. The game stalls, manned by the teachers, around
the playground ranged from the Lucky Dip to Football, including games for all age groups.
The stalls at the far end of the field had delicious food and snacks. The aroma from the
cuisines from different parts of the world, the pulsating music from the stage, the children
screaming with undiluted joy from the play area and the youngsters taking part in the various
cultural and literary events.
The evening was a time for the young adults as Singer Zaeden took centrestage on Day 1 of
the fest and DJ Julian Jordan, flown all the way from Holland, created a stir on Day 2. The
crowd danced to the tunes, sang with the lyrics and all in all had a great couple of evenings.
The two-day event came to a close. It was a roaring success. All credit goes to the students of
the ISC section who are trained, through such events, to work in teams, to hone their
organizing abilities and to receive an education beyond the walls of the classroom which they
carry gracefully and seamlessly into the real world.
