Orientation for Std 11 (Parents & Students)

New Beginnings!

School reopened with an Orientation for the Students of Std 11 and their Parents. Many nervous guardians were seen chatting amongst themselves, preparing to send their wards on a new journey to achieve academic and sporting excellence and become good citizens, working for the benefit of society.

The introduction was by staff member Mrs. Jayashree and she was followed by Ilakya and Dhruti, proud Josephites who had topped their batch in 2019 in the Science and Commerce stream respectively. They spoke about the need for a balance between academics and extra- curricular activities.

Dhruti’s mother Mrs. Veena G.S., also shared a few words about "trusting in the legacy of the school" and advised the parents to "maintain a good rapport with the teachers".

The program concluded on an inspiring note with a humorous and interactive speech by the chief guest, Mr. Jatinder Mohan. He went over the Do’s and Don’ts, expectations versus reality, and even shared his own experiences with the parents. He reiterated cooperation, harmony and engagement by parents.

The students’ orientation was held the following day, with advise from former Josephites and a speech by Mr. Jatinder Mohan where he explained how "attitude, determination, and skill" are the three pillars to success.

And so it came to pass, that in a matter of a few days, students who had gained admission into the school were now incorporated into the fabric of the Josephite family.
