Orientation for Parents & Students (LKG)

Not just a new chapter, a new book begins for these tiny tots who are entering school.

An orientation program for the academic year 2016-17 for parents of the L.K.G. students was held on the 7th of June, 2016 in the school auditorium.

The program started with a brief introduction by Ms. Jonah, who highlighted the purpose of the orientation. This was followed by a heartfelt prayer song. In the absence of Principal Fr Clifford Sequeira SJ, who is unwell, Rev.Fr. Hedwig D'Costa SJ, acting Principal of SJBHS, addressed the gathering and emphasized to the parents the honour of being a Josephite.

Fr. Hedwig introduced the new primary school administrator, Rev. Fr. Robert Clement Rodrigues SJ.

The chief guest for the program was Dr. Debmita Dutta, a parenting and wellness consultant. The chief guest spoke about parenting and the human values of love, understanding, hygiene, proper diet, etiquette, rest, balance between study and day to day priorities, in her address to the parents.

She reiterated that parents should express their love for their child every day in different ways.

The coordinator of the pre-primary department, Mrs. Nalini Gupta, described the different facilities available to the students to help them reach their fullest academic potential and to experience an all-round growth in the SJBHS environment.

The program ended with a Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Vrinda Raj.
