Seasons

Fun Days in July

India experiences a range of seasonal changes: hot Summers, cool and cold Winters, refreshing Rains and the new life of Spring, the magic of falling leaves of Autumn. The Pre-Primary teachers of SJBHS explained to their little ones how blessed they are to experience the different magical seasons throughout the year and all because of the movement of Mother Earth around the Sun!

In LKG, a colouring competition was held. The worksheet had a picture of a boy holding an umbrella on a beautiful rainy day. The children used their imagination and creativity and coloured the picture. They shared their experiences of running out on a rainy day, using umbrellas and jumping in muddy puddles. The non-existent rainy season was welcomed into the classroom! In UKG, boys had two pictures to colour (spring and rainy seasons) which tested their motor skills as well.

Every class played a video of an action song and the children thoroughly enjoyed dancing to the tune. A few students from across the LKG and UKG sections were dressed in different attire according to their representation of the seasons. The students spoke a few words on the seasons they represented. They were very excited to go to each class and demonstrate their newly acquired public speaking skills!

As the year progresses, the seasons may come and go but the teachers of the Pre-Primary section are certain that the knowledge about the seasons are here to stay.
