Graduating Batch’s Assembly

Seasons Come, Seasons Go

As the pandemic receded and schools re-opened, we at St Joseph’s Boys’ High School decided to give the students one final assembly on March 17, 2022. It was a time to thank their mentors, to recollect their journey through the portals of the school and to showcase their talents. The Assembly began with the hoisting of the school flag and the recital of the school song. The prayer that followed was a tribute to the Almighty for His divine guidance, care and intervention, through the years.

The Principal of SJBHS, Fr Sunil Fernandes SJ, in his message to the students said that all are pilgrims journeying together. We should lead a life that is selfless, encompassing the ‘unreached’ and always in tune with the tenets of Jesuit education. Fr Principal re-iterated the 7 C’s of compassion, commitment, confidence, critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and care and concern for Mother Earth. In conclusion, Fr Sunil wished the students a bright future and extended an open invitation to the graduates to visit the school, whenever they could.

Songs, instrumental recitals, speeches, dances and poems by the outgoing students of the batch of 2022 showcased their immense love for their school, fond memories of their mentors and support staff, reminiscence of their journey through life itself and promises of lasting friendships with their peers! The students assembled in the auditorium where they were welcomed to the OBA (Old Boys Association). The ‘Josexcel’ awards for excellence in Sports was also presented to the achievers. The students were fully convinced that the adage they had often heard was absolutely true: Once a Josephite, always a Josephite!
