Christmas celebrations in SJBHS always promise to be fun filled events and this year was no different. On 21st December, the boys gathered on the grounds and the programme began with the choir singing the school song.
A few moments later, the Master of Ceremonies appeared on the stage, giving a brief introduction to the event followed by the prayer.
Then the sub juniors of Std 1 &2 took the stage with their glamorous attire and Christmas hats. They treated the audience to some wonderful Christmas dancing. Next was the action song 'Twelve Days of Christmas' by Stds 3 & 4.
Our own beloved Principal, Fr Clifford Sequeira then came on to remind us of the very principles of Christmas. Aaron Prakash of Std 10 gave a short speech on the history of Christmas.
It was time for the staff event - a ground breaking performance of Christmas carols with songs such as 'O lovely Night'.
The Christmas play - 'The Grinch who stole Christmas' was brought to life by the senior students of Stds 7,8 & 9. The main character in the play was a green, mean monster, a Grinch, who planned to wreak havoc in the city of Whosville by stealing Christmas!
In the midst of the play we heard an uproar from the excited juniors as Santa Claus suddenly approached the small boys from behind the stage, making an entrance with balloons in his hands, as juniors began shouting in joy.
The dynamic ISC students entertained us with various well known Christmas carols such as 'Hark the herald angle sings'.
Together, all the events set the mood for the festive season and the coming holidays.
