The pandemic was in its second year, the mental endurance of the students was challenged to the greatest extent and it took the rhythm and sound of Cadence, not in its third edition to bring spirits up. The inter-school music fest organized by the Music Department of SJBHS was happy occasion all around.

The Chief Guest for the online opening ceremony was Mrs. Indira Srinivasan, sister of Usha Uthup and one of the Sami sisters. Mrs. Indira herself is a renowned singer who has serenaded audiences across the world.

Our Principal, Fr Sunil Fernandes SJ, in his address said that music and song, transcends the barriers of time and space and is an expression of joy as well as sadness; of bringing God closer to the believer as well as doing the work of relieving the tensions of the day and age that we live in. He then declared the Inter-School Music Fest, Cadence 2021 open.

The music festival comprised of a total of 18 events, with students performing in three different languages; English, Hindi and Kannada. Schools from all over Bengaluru participated and received awards for their spectacular displays in Solo, Duet and Group events. The Overall Championship for Cadence 2021 was awarded to Sophia High School, Bengaluru.
