International Yoga Day 2024

Mind &Body Rejuvenation



On June 21, 2024, SJBHS celebrated the 10 th International Yoga Day.

The benefits of Yoga are immense especially for students. The Management understands the triple effect of Yoga on the mind, body and soul and hence arranged a special programme to remind the students of the importance of the day.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp to reflect the inner lighting of the self with the power of meditation and self-awareness. Then a select group of students performed asanas which stimulated various parts of the physique and the psyche. The atmosphere was serene and rejuvenating.

The Principal of the SJBHS, Fr Sunil Fernandes SJ, in his address reiterated the importance of Yoga and said that breathing exercises and meditation promotes physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being and should be practised as a way of life.

Dr Meenakshi K S, Founder and Director of Sahasraara Yogashala showed breathing exercises and meditation techniques.
