Waste Segregation Programme

Plastic Beku

This month, our school joined hands with big companies to create awareness on waste segregation and plastic in particular.

RJ Rohit, with Kiran and Dheeraj from Big FM visited SJBHS on 19th November 2019 to address the students and kick off the “Plastic Beku” campaign to collect plastic waste from their school campus and homes. The plastic will be used to pave a 50 km road from Kempegowda International Airport.

Through the “Plastic Beku” initiative, 92.7 Big FM partnered with Kempegowda International Airport, and FMCG major ITC’s Foods Division, to work with St Joseph’s Boys’ High School, to sensitize students towards the need for an eco-friendly life while becoming community advocates to help the citizens to segregate waste at initial levels.

The students from LKG to 12th will participate in the initiative to solder the school’s support to create awareness for a sustainable lifestyle.
