Vidhana Soudha

Teachers Visit

On 23 March 2023, the teachers of SJBHS along with the Primary School Administrator, Fr Vishal D’Souza were taken on a memorable educational tour to one of the most iconic buildings of Bengaluru.

Described by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru as ‘a temple dedicated to the nation,’ it was indeed a privilege and a matter of pride to visit the Vidhana Soudha and know a few facts and details about the giant structure, its function and its purpose.

The Parliamentary guide, Mr. J. Gyanashekar gave us details about the intricate design of the building, right from its foundation to its construction, as well as a summary of the functioning of the Parliament.

It was indeed a great feeling to stand inside the majestic edifice. It was indeed a re-learning experience to visit a place where bills are passed, and laws and policies are implemented.

Before leaving, our Primary School Administrator presented a memento to the Parliamentary Guide and the marshal as a token of appreciation for taking time out and sharing their valuable knowledge.

With the final exams just over and the academic year at its near completion, it was an ideal trip for the staff – a tour wherein, a refresher course in the running of the government was interspersed with an atmosphere of relaxation, bonding and team building.
