Festival of Science

The third edition of the schools' much-anticipated Science and Technology Fest - TRANSCENDENCE 2019 was held on the 21^st and 22^nd of June. The biggest turnout in the fest’s history saw 1,300 excited faces walk through our school gates.

With over 16 events, Transcendence 2019 outdid itself with stimulating challenges, instilling the spirit of scientific curiosity into every student. The events included coding, mystery solving, journalism, performing complex experiments, and many more. Each one was equally exciting to watch as it was to take part in. Ultimately, only the strongest scientific minds took home prizes, despite the fierce competition.

Our school was honored to have a greatly respected luminary, Professor C. N. R Rao as the chief guest for the opening ceremony. Being a Bharat Ratna awardee and an avid contributor to the world of science and material chemistry for over 68 years, he inspired all the participants into the pursuit of Science, which includes ‘asking questions, developing curiosity, applying knowledge', and ultimately ‘solving problems'. He spoke about how he remembered Professor C.V. Raman addressing his school decades ago, and how that inspired him to be ‘involved and excited every single day' in his profession.

He advised the students that a profession in science requires tremendous ‘dedication, passion, and patience', for the ‘service of humanity'.
