Blessings for our Principal
The captain of the ship, head of the staff, a leader - the analogies allotted to the designation of the 'Principal' of a school are endless. All these terms fit the Principal of SJBHS, Fr Sunil Cletus Fernandes SJ.
Principal's Day celebrations at our school reflect the love and respect that the staff, students, and the stakeholders of SJBHS have for the person in the 'hot seat'.
The programme began with Fr Sunil Fernandes being escorted to the auditorium, decorated in his favourite theme 'Sports and Games'. The football, basketball, badminton racket and shuttle cork all found space on the backdrop and the birthday cake. The programme commenced with a solemn, meaningful, and serene prayer service by the support staff. After that there were games to be played, quiz questions to be answered and a rapid-fire Q&A session all for the man of the moment. However, the dances, songs, poems, and drama were as appreciative. Fr Sunil was laden with bouquets and gifts but the gratitude journal was innovative, to say the least.
In his message, Fr Sunil thanked the audience and put on record the fact that he felt really blessed to be a part of the SJBHS family. He thanked his maker for the gift of life and his vocation to be a Jesuit priest.
The stakeholders of the school commenced the new academic year on a high note and hoped that every day, going forward, would resonate the fun, frolic, and fulfillment of the celebrations on the 1st of June, 2024.
