Road Safety Educational Programme

On 20 th November 2023, an educational programme for road safety awareness and behaviour change was conducted on behalf of Toyota Kirloskar Motor Company. The students of Std 5,6,7 and 8 were given a pre-test in their class rooms. Later, in the auditorium, they were told above the norms, the frequent misconceptions and the causes for accidents.

The speakers emphasized on the importance of collaboration as the key to resolve issues. With the aim of creating a vibrant community and sustainable life, videos were shown to students to create awareness about the benefits of following traffic rules. Interaction with the students about safety measures and various traffic signals was an enriching experience for everybody present for the session.

Safety, is not only about oneself but directly or indirectly, a concern for the society at large. Given the rise in the number of vehicles on the road, the number of migrants into the city of Bengaluru; and the inability of the existing infrastructure to keep up with the growing needs of a growing population, road safety is indeed the need of the hour.
