74 th Republic Day Celebrations

A celebration of one country, one people and one humanity

SJBHS staff and students unfurled the Indian flag on 26 January 2023, to mark the 74 th Republic Day of our country.

A proud salute accompanied the unfurling of the tricolour. The melodious strains of the national anthem were in synchrony with the flag as it fluttered gently in the cool morning breeze – a gentle reminder of the beauty of the Constitution of India, its tenets, and its emphasis on the rights of all irrespective of caste, creed and customs.

The events of the morning brought out patriotism, pride and pure nationalistic feelings in the minds and hearts of the participants.

A special mention has to be made of the students of the pre-primary section who were dressed as national leaders, freedom fighters and social reformers – an ode to the sacrifices made and hardships endured by our forefathers during the quest for a free India. The ideals and aspirations of the great leaders were reiterated to remind the younger generation of the legacy that they had to observe, conserve and preserve.

The festivities of the 74 th Republic Day came to an end but the feelings that the celebration brought to the fore were re-visited, reinforced and renewed!
