Principal’s Day

The first of June marks a new academic year, a new beginning and an auspicious one as that – as it also marks Principal’s Day at SJBHS!

The special assembly had prayers, speeches, poems and wishes from the heart for our Principal, Fr. Sunil Fernandes SJ. The prayers were intercessions for showers of grace from the Almighty; the speeches were full of adulation for the man at the helm of the giant ship called SJBHS; and the wishes, from one and all, were heartfelt and resonant of the kindness, gentleness and leadership abilities of the Principal!

The noon session showcased a tribute, by the staff members and the icing on the cake was the surprise presence of all of Fr. Sunil’s family members. They graced the occasion at the behest of the staff and lent that much more meaning to Fr Sunil’s special day.

The cutting of the cake; the speeches by the Vice Principal, the family and the staff members; the celebration songs by the school choir; the memorable dance performance; and the video presentation on the special occasion threw light on the life and work; the persona and character; the spirituality and the aura of the man, the priest and the Principal of SJBHS!

The celebration culminated in a fellowship meal that was thoroughly enjoyed by all, adding to the spirit of team building and camaraderie that was vital to a fruitful year ahead!
