The Ollapally Awards have become a yearly bonanza for three members of the teaching staff, a member of the admin and a member of the support staff of SJBHS. The Ollapally family in collaboration with the institution have installed the award in recognition of merit, hard work, and perseverance of five members of the staff. The awardees are carefully chosen based on service rendered, dedication and feedback from the Principal. The award selection committee has five Old Boys, two being from the Ollapally family itself.

Major General Paul Naidu (batch of 1979), who is a member of the selection team, put on record the appreciation of the Old Boys for the values, sense of fair play and code of conduct that the teachers at SJBHS instill in their students that keep them in good stead, especially in times of adversity. The award is a token of appreciation to the SJBHS teachers, both past and present.

Fr Sunil Fernandes SJ, thanked the Old Boys and the Ollapally family for acknowledging the hard work of the staff. Father acknowledged the great love of the alumni for their school, the zeal of the Old Boys to ‘pay it forward,’ and the deep connect of the former students with
