JOSEPHITE RUN 2025

A Runaway Success!

The second edition of the ‘Josephite Run’, held on 19th January 2025, was a much-anticipated affair in the Josephite calendar. The event was animated by the Parent Teachers’ Association, the Old Boys’ Association and St Joseph’s Boys’ High School. Promos, fliers and flash mobs were used to herald the cause of the run. Education of the underprivileged is a great motivator and the crowds that gathered for the cause knew that they served a very valuable purpose especially given the fact that in some way or the other they were all stakeholders upholding education of all Indians.

The day began on a gloomy, dull and rainy note with temperatures dipping in Bengaluru. However, the morale of the participants, the enthusiasm of the students, parents, siblings and staff was inversely proportional to the vagaries of the inclement weather. The 10K,5K and 3K races were flagged off amid cheers and hooting. There were some serious marathon runners, some jovial ones, some health-conscious athletes and many who wanted to walk the distance! The enjoyable, stress-free and well-organised Run was for everyone.

There were prizes for the winners and medals for all those who finished the marathon. The participants went home thrilled that they had completed the targets they had set. Besides being a ‘run for a cause’, it highlighted the importance of exercise, fitness and self-care.
