Infinity 2024 – Our Middle School Fest

Real Change for a Better World

Infinity, the middle school fest was held on the 20th of November 2024. This annual fest for the Josephites showcases and celebrates the boundless creativity and unique talents of the young students of Class 5 and 6!

This event brings together an inspiring display of art, science and technology all done with passion and imagination - simple yet extraordinary.

The world is moving towards sustainability due to a combination of environmental concerns, economic benefits, social and ethical consideration and growing consumer demands. The transition to a sustainable future will require significant changes in policies, technology and behaviour. The benefits are clear and the urgency is undeniable. Therefore, the theme chosen this year was ‘Sustainable Innovations’, to explore the wonders of science, Math and technology.

The students of Class 5&6 surpassed all expectations with their innovative models, charts and explanation. They came forth with sustainable highways, aquaponics, novel methods of waste water management, vertical farming techniques, irrigation systems powered on solar energy, carbon filtration techniques and smart agronomics to name a few of the models on display. The science and tech models had fierce competition in the form of Math puzzles, trigonometrical ratios and the Pythagorean triplets.

A special mention needs to be made of the parents and grandparents of the students who helped wholeheartedly to bring out the best in Infinity 2024 in terms of the topics highlighted, the representations on sustainable innovations with an eye on the materials used to make the models.

Every piece, on exhibition, was created with genuine enthusiasm and effort—with the simple purpose of sparking curiosity and encouraging students to think beyond boundaries. The exhibition was a platform solely for students to explore new ideas and express themselves in ways that surprise and delight, to ignite the bright minds of tomorrow so as to inspire real change for a better world.
