Importance of Values in Life
A personality development session was held for the non-Catholic students in the auditorium on August 5, 2024. Mr T K Chandra Mouli was the resource person.
The students were enlightened on the following topics-
• Coping with change
• Recognising, understanding, and managing emotions
• Expressing feelings and thoughts clearly
• Gratitude and respect for parent’s love and sacrifice
• Standing up for what is right
The session was an enriching experience for the students who learnt the importance of values in life, effective life skills to live life to its fullest.
A spiritual renewal & discovery retreat was held for the Catholic students of Class 5 & 6 themed
Walking with Jesus! The primary objective was to provide students with a spiritual experience that would foster a deeper connection with God, encourage reflection, and inspire a sense of purpose.
Six priests from the Redemptorist congregation were invited as keynote speakers. Each priest brought a unique perspective and experience, having served in different parts of the country. Their diverse backgrounds enriched the retreat experience.
• Father Thomas, ordained a year ago, hails from the Vice Province of Magella and has served in Panody, Bombay. His youthful enthusiasm and recent experiences brought a fresh perspective to the retreat.
• Father Vivek, also ordained a year ago, belongs to the Vice Province of Magella and has served in Chembur, Bombay. His insights into urban ministry resonated with the students.
• Father Sebastian, another priest ordained a year ago, is from the Vice Province of Magella and has served in Vasai, Bombay. His pastoral experience provided valuable insights.
• Father Jackson, a newly ordained priest from the Vice Province of Magella, brought a sense of new beginnings and enthusiasm to the retreat.
• Father Nidhin, ordained two years ago, belongs to the Bangalore Province and has served in Kerala. His knowledge of the local context made his teachings particularly relevant.
• Father Tarindu, a newly ordained priest from Sri Lanka, offered an international perspective and shared the richness of his cultural heritage.
The core of the retreat revolved around biblical teachings centered on the lives of David and Samuel. To enhance understanding and engagement, the priests incorporated short film clips and led energetic action songs in both Hindi and English. This interactive approach created a lively and inclusive atmosphere.
