Independence Day is a time to celebrate our freedom and take pride in being a citizen of this great nation. The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with no less fervour and patriotism by the youngest of Josephites of SJBHS.

A series of competitions held at the Pre-Primary unit gave a chance to the little ones to showcase their talent and display their speaking skills. The LKG Students came dressed up as freedom fighters for the 'Fancy Dress' Competition and spoke a few lines about the freedom fighter they represented. It certainly brought out the creativity of the parents who gave their best to make their child look and act like freedom fighters.

A 'Show and Tell' Competition was held for the UKG boys who spoke with confidence about the freedom fighters thereby acquiring a lot of knowledge about their country, India. The beautiful props and charts brought by the students for the competition certainly displayed the hard work and enthusiasm of the parents.

Thus, the day was one of learning, gaining knowledge about our country, India and giving an opportunity to the little ones to boost their confidence and overcome stage fear.
