The birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru is celebrated as Children’s Day all over India (also called Bal Divas). As a part of this celebration, the little Josephites of LKG and UKG participated in competitions like clay modelling, wealth out of waste and storytelling.
They brought materials and made different clay models in the class.
The importance of reduce-recycle-reuse-repair was shown through the wealth out of waste miscellany of finished products.
Storytelling is a slowly dying art form due to the dependency on gadgetry and its gaming routines. Students of this age group develop life skills through storytelling and learn new vocabulary, values as well as improve their listening aptitude. The exercise in story telling achieved its purpose for the narrator and the audience.
The day came to a close, it was time for the juniors to go home but it was also time for the teachers to rejoice in the learning.
