Celebrating Fr Michael John’s 81st Birthday!

Years have passed since the retirement of Fr Michael John from principalship, yet the staff, past students and benefactors remember the former Principal with respect and love. Having held the post of Principal of SJBHS from 1993 – 2006, he has been instrumental in the construction of the magnificent school building as it stands today. Besides, his calm demeanour, humility and simplicity have touched the lives of many. A Jesuit whose life speaks louder than his words.

The celebrations were held on 29 September 2021, overflowing with reverence and sincerity. After the prayer and the prayer song, the cake was cut while the birthday song resounded in the background. Fr Sunil Fernandes, Principal of SJBHS, in his birthday message said that Fr Michael lived by the vision, mission and passion of his vocation. He was not only the architect of the school building but the architect of building communities according to the principle of Cura Personalis and he did that with finesse and purpose!

The celebrations ended with the birthday celebrant’s thank you message and his humility in attributing the success of the school to the dynamism of the staff and management that worked as a team.
