Come Children’s Day and the Pre-primary department of SJBHS are all in high spirits to make the young Josephites feel special and loved. ‘Chilgala’-a week long fun fiesta comprising of competitions, dance, art and craft workshops and magic show along with fun, frolic and laughter was organized to let these little ones know how special they are to their teachers. The virtual dance show put up by the teachers of the Pre –primary department called for a great round of applause from not only their colleagues but also from the parents.
The event started with a meaningful prayer seeking God’s blessings followed by a beautiful message by Fr Principal. The first day of Chilgala had all the children enthralled by the wondrous magic show conducted by Mr. Nagendra Prasad who were over whelmed by his magical treat.
It is rightly said, “There are two lasting gifts we should give our children; one is roots and the other is wings” and SJBHS never forgets that. This could be seen in the way the Pre-primary teachers’ art and craft workshops brought out the hidden talent of the little Josephites. The beautiful greeting card and the lovely bookmark made by the LKG students gave a sense of pride to these tiny tots. The UKG boys too enjoyed learning and making the cartoon characters, Batman and Spiderman and it surely gave a great boost to their confidence.
The festival of joy didn’t stop here; there was much more to it.The last day of Chilgala was a day to engage in fun and frolic in high spirit and create sweet memories. A workshop comprising of dance, interactive game and fireless cooking was organized which was thoroughly enjoyed by the little ones as well as the teachers engaged in that workshop.
So as to not let the spirit of the dynamic Josephites go down, the teachers also conducted virtual competitions for them. The drawing and coloring competition and converting waste material into something useful brought out the creativity and showed the enthusiasm of the little children.
Overall, the Chilgala event was one of bonding, a day of expressing how important and special the little Josephites are to their teachers. Needless to say, SJBHS never fails to live upto the Jesuit principle of ‘Cura Personalis’!
