CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS

The Spirit of Faith and Family

Under cloudless skies, with a crisp chill in the air, the students gathered to celebrate the Christmas programme—a perfect way to wrap up the year’s events. The joy and excitement among the students were even more evident, as it had been a long wait before they could finally have their assembly on the field. As the words of the school anthem echoed across the grounds, they blended seamlessly with the festive cheer, amplifying the spirit of Christmas.

Blending together the traditional themes of faith, hope, and love were the carols by the students from the English and Kannada choir. The warm embrace of these carols turned out to be the best way to spread Christmas cheer. The nativity skit, which depicted the story of the birth of Jesus Christ, by the talented students of the pre-primary section, brought to life the timeless story of the first Christmas. The heartwarming portrayal was the perfect way to celebrate the true spirit of Christmas and left the audience with a sense of peace and joy. The dance programme added to the Christmas cheer with the lively performances by the students from Std 1 to 4 and the ISC.

Students showcased their talent through vibrant, festive dances, perfectly complementing the holiday spirit. The rhythmic movements and colourful costumes not only entertained but also spread the warmth and excitement of the season, enhancing the overall festive atmosphere. In his message, the Principal, Fr Sunil Fernandes, reminded everyone that the birth of the Lord is the true reason for the season. He expressed gratitude to all the stakeholders and thanked the Almighty for the blessing of being able to celebrate the events on the field. The arrival of Santa Claus brought an extra dose of cheer, making the celebrations even more vibrant and full of joy.

As Norman Vincent Peale once said, "Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful." Embracing the magic of Christmas, the students returned to their homes to celebrate the holidays, enveloped in love, laughter, and joy.

The staff had their own celebratory lunch to mark the end of the calendar year and to celebrate fellowship, camaraderie, and the spirit of the Josephite family.
