The students of the astronomy club, along with teacher Mrs. Reshmi, participated in an overnight astronomy workshop on February 15, 2019. It was held at Life Trees Adventure Camp, Kanakapura, and hosted by the Young Innovators Educational Services Pvt. Ltd.
The students had a lot of fun while learning. They were given a practical and classroom primer on night sky watching techniques, sky mapping, constellation watch, use of the planisphere and planet tracking.
The unique experience requiring them to stay up the whole night was genuinely motivational and testimony to the fact that hands-on learning in the outdoors is critical to a wider understanding.
