Making a Splash!

The Annual Aquatic Meet was held on 22^nd November 2019 at SJBHS. This swimming gala is eagerly anticipated by the hard working and disciplined swimmers who have been training through the year to bring home laurels.

The swimming pool was a buzz of activity: excited swimmers were in readiness, the judges were stationed at the starting mark and the expectant parents all ready to cheer their wards. The races began with a splash!

Loud cheering accompanied the swimmers in their individual events; frenzied shouting assured the inter house participants that they were doing their best. Thunderous screaming resounded through the rafters of the indoor swimming pool during the interschool competitions!

The chief guest was Olympian, Arjuna awardee and champion swimmer, Nisha Millet. The eminent swimmer encouraged the participants, asked them to push the boundaries to better their performances and to dream big to achieve their goals. Swimming is a water safety skill and needs to be perfected, she said.
