On April 9, 2021, St Joseph’s Boys’ High School hosted a webinar on “Career guidance for beginners - How to chart a successful and satisfying life ahead”. The webinar organized by team Pragati, helped parents and students to make more informed choices regarding the stream and syllabus they need to choose to help them make mindful decisions regarding their career paths. The webinar focused on future planning, eased parent-child conflict, increased knowledge base, gave clarity for future goals and helped the stakeholders in making the right choice from the many options available.

The guest speaker for the webinar Mr. Shravan Shetty, a well-known name in the field of career guidance and educational consultancy gave an extensive presentation on the choices available in the different streams such as: science, commerce, arts, and other fields. It included road maps to achieve success in the chosen profession and the networking involved, which definitely helped in guiding our viewers to delve deeper into their own professional goals and how to achieve them. Parents’ concerns were addressed; Mr Shetty ended the webinar with a powerful message to students: be kind to each other because kindness will help you and your classmates build confidence and acceptance, which goes a long way in charting successful careers in the future.
