Master of the Rubik's Cube

Tayyab Subhaani Siraj is a student of Class 2E. He is the little master who can solve the Rubik’s Cube with an average time of 16 seconds and his fastest time being 9.98 seconds. He is very passionate and determined to break the world record one day.
He has won many trophies, medals and certificates in various online competitions in the U-8 and U-11 category, both, at the National and International Levels.
He has participated in many tournaments like Super Big Cube Contest, Cublelo Speed Cubing Unlocked, Winter Online International Speed Cubing Tournament, Mid-Summer Cube Competition and Cubing Heat.
He has bagged several medals in competitions like The Tamil Nadu Cube Association Winter Cubing Tournament (U-10 Category), Jackhi Book of World Records Cube Challenge Contest, Grand International Speed Cubing Tournament (U- 8 Category), Brainy Bees Cubing Season 2 (U-8 Category), Brainy Bees Cubing Season 3 (U-11 Category) and India Cubers League.

Racing Champion

Dhruvh Goswami of class 9 participated in the 25 th JK Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship 2022 in the Novice Cup Category held at Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore. He secured the 2 nd Runner Up Title in the overall championship out of 27 national drivers. Dhruvh also took part in the MRF MMSC FMSCI National Racing Championship 2022 in the FLGB1300 Category held at Madras International Circuit, Chennai. He won the position of the 2 nd Runner Up of the Season.





Interschool Golf- CIS

Canadian International School (CIS) conducted an Inter- School Golf Tournament at the Prestige Augusta Golf Course.
Anvitha Narender of class 11, secured the first place in Category A (15-18 years)
Adithya J Kamath and Ethan Lobo of class 7 secured the first and the third place, respectively, in Category C (11-13 years)
They were declared the overall champions, winning the Championship Cup.




SJBHS Staff vs SJBHS PTA

St Joseph's Boys' High School has a long history of academic and athletic success. Both parents and teachers have been extremely supportive of the students. As part of an annual tradition, parents and teachers came together once more to demonstrate comraderie, strength, and real sportsmanship. SJBHS Staff and PTA played a friendly game of cricket, basketball, and tug-of-war. Both sides displayed a great deal of zeal. Students applauded and cheered on as teachers and parents walked to the field to demonstrate their skills.

SJBHS-PTA were the Champions in Basketball and Cricket.

CISCE- National Basketball Championship

The National Basketball Championship was hosted by CISCE in Tuticorin. In the U-19 (Boys) division, Karnataka finished as the runner-up. The Karnataka team included our students, Muddaya K T and Jai Gera. Muddaya K T has also been selected to represent team India at the SGFI games.






Clarence Inter-School Basketball Tournament

St Joseph’s Boys’ High School participated in the Inter-School Basketball Tournament conducted by Clarence High School. Our U-16 Boys’ Team was declared the champions of the tournament.







‘Youth Sports’ Inter-School Football Tournament

St Joseph’s Boys’ High School took part in the Reliance Foundation ‘Youth Sports’ Inter- School Football Tournament hosted by Vibgyor School. Our Sub- Junior Football Team was awarded the Runner- Up Title.





Hyundai National Inter School Golf Trophy

Anvitha Narender of 11 A secured the 1st place in the Hyundai National Inter School Golf Trophy held at Prestige Golfshire on 2nd and 3rd November, 2022.







CISCE National Hockey Championship

CISCE National Hockey Championship was held at KSHA, Bengaluru. Karnataka beat North India 4-0, taking the U-17 Boys’ Team to victory. Our students, Manith Mandana, Dhruv M and Ambaran Varadarajan comprised the team that brought glory to Karnataka.





VIVA Tournament- Basketball

St Joseph’s Boys’ High School participated in the VIVA Tournament organised by Vibgyour School, Hennur. Our U-12 Basketball Team secured the 3rd place while our U-14 Basketball Team emerged winners of the tournament beating the Vibgyour Tean 26-10.















Open State Boxing Championship

The Karnataka Amateur Boxing Association (SAI) conducted the Open State Boxing Championship between 14th and 16th October, 2022. Our student, R. Mohith Kumaran, won a silver medal in the 48-52kg Category.















Baldwin Shield Inter-School Football Tournament 2022

Baldwin Boys' School recently conducted the Baldwin Shield Inter-School Football Tournament. St Joseph's Boys' High School took part in the tournament in the U-16 and U-14 categories. After a splendid display of vigour and fervour, the U-14 school team emerged as the winners beating Ryan International School 1-0.

In the U-16 category, St Joseph’s Boys’ High School were the runners up. Bishop Cotton Boys’ School beat SJBHS in the shoutout with a score of 4-3.

Congratulations to both the teams for showcasing true sportsmanship, commitment and goodwill!









CISCE Sports and Games 2022 – Aquatic Event

Our students represented St Joseph’s Boys’ High School at the CISCE Aquatic Event and have secured a plethora of medals, testifying that skill and dedication are always rewarded. In the U14 Category, we have Yuvan Aditya securing a gold medal in the 50 metre-butterfly event and a silver medal in the 50 metre-free style event. Adrian Neil Serrao won a silver medal in the 50 metre-backstroke, a bronze medal in the 100 metre and 200 metre-backstroke. Abdeali M Tambawala has secured a silver medal in the 4 x 100 individual medley and 4 x 100 medley.
Daniel Paul J has obtained a gold medal in the 200 metre-breaststroke and a bronze medal in the 100 metre-breaststroke.
In the U17 Category, the following students have won various honours. Akash Mani has secured a gold medal in 100 metre-backstroke, 50 metre-backstroke, 200 metre-backstroke and 4 x 100 metre-freestyle. He has won a silver medal in the 4 x 100 metre medley. Akash Mani has also won the Individual Championship in the CISCE Council Games. Shreyas Manjunath has obtained a gold medal in 100 metre- freestyle, 200 metre- breaststroke and 4 x 100 metre freestyle. He has also received a silver medal in the 4 x 100 metre medley and a bronze medal in the 100 metre-breaststroke. J T Surya has won a gold medal in the 4 x 100 metre-freestyle, a silver medal in the 4 x 100 metre and the 200-metre medley. Dheeraj M has secured a gold medal in the 4 x 100 metre-freestyle and a bronze medal in the 100 metre-freestyle. Aditya Shroff has obtained a silver medal in the 4 x 100 metre medley and a bronze medal in the 50 metre-butterfly.
In the U19 Category, Swayam A has secured a gold medal in 100 metre-freestyle, 50 metre and 100 metre-butterfly. He has also obtained the Individual Championship in the CISCE Council Games.
Mohammed Ayman A has won a silver medal in the 50 metre-freestyle and a bronze medal in 50 metre-breaststroke. Khushi Gandhi has secured a bronze medal in the 50 metre-breaststroke. Aadya Talreja has obtained a silver medal in the 200-metre individual medley.

Open State Roller Skating Competition

Arjun S Kumar of Standard 4 has secured two silver medals and one bronze medal in the recently conducted Open State Roller Skating Competition.

Much deserved appreciation for the achievement.






Athletics

Haleemah Fazilath of Standard 11 'A' participated in the CISCE Regional Athletic Meet (U-17) and has secured a gold medal in the 100-metre event.
She has also participated in the Karnataka State Junior and Senior Athletic Championships (U-18) and secured a silver medal in the 100-metre event and a bronze medal in the 200-metre event, respectively.






CISCE Sports and Games 2022 - Taekwondo Championship

St Joseph’s Boys’ High School participated in the Taekwondo Championship conducted by the CISCE Sports and Games 2022. Lennon Lukose won the gold medal in the U-17 Boys’ (35-38 kg) Division and has been chosen to compete in the upcoming National Taekwondo Championship.






CISCE Sports and Games 2022 - Cricket Tournament

St Joseph's Boys' High School took part in the CISCE Sports and Games 2022 Cricket Tournament.
The Regional U-19 Cricket Tournament was won by SJBHS with a fantastic display of vigour and exuberance.







Rock Climbing

First student to compete in Rock Climbing event from SJBHS. Purvi Rajpurohit was placed Second in the South Zone Rock Climbing Competition; she also participated at National level at the Nehru Institute Of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi.






The Frank Anthony Public School- Inter School Relay

As part of their Sports Day, The Frank Anthony Public School hosted an Interschool Relay Competition. SJBHS took part in the event. Our students demonstrated perseverance, diligence and effort and won medals for the institution.
The ISC Relay Team ranked second and was awarded silver medals. The team consisted of: Kaushik Pai, Bosco Jeo, Bhavya Chadda, Irvin Cardoza and Ronan Lobo.
The ISC Girls’ Relay Team came second and won silver medals. The team consisted of: Anvitha Narendra, Christine Veigas, Tara Palachanda and Kumari Divija.
The ICSE Relay Team placed third and won bronze medals. The team consisted of: Liyan Thanveer, Gautham Paul, Karan Joshua, Jayden Reeves and Shawn Terance.
The teams definitely deserve our sincere appreciation for their excellent achievements.

CISCE Sports and Games 2022- Regional Badminton Tournament

On 18 July 2022, Greenwood High in Bannerghatta hosted the CISCE Regional Badminton Tournament, in which St. Joseph's Boys' High School students participated. The following students represented our school honourably and brought home medals in several categories.

The U-14 Doubles Champions were Parth Kapasi and Nilesh Mukhnth. In the U-17 Doubles, Ruhan P. Joseph and Rujil P. Joseph took home the gold medal. In the U -19 Division, Prachi Bharaktiya earned a gold medal while Yuvika Appaiah won a bronze medal.


CISCE Sports and Games 2022- Rifle and Pistol Event

The CISCE Rifle and Pistol Competition was conducted at AC School Bangalore on 29 July 2022.

St. Joseph's Boys' High School students not only competed but also won two medals in the Open Sight 10 M Event. Nilesh Mukunth won a silver medal in the (U-14 category) and Mohamed Zain won a gold medal in the (U-17 category).

CISCE Sports and Games 2022 - Regional Boxing Championship

St Joseph’s Boys’ High School participated in the Regional Boxing Championship conducted by the CISCE Sports and Games 2022. The students partook in the boxing championship for the first time and brought honour to the institution by winning 1 bronze and 3 gold medals.

Sherlyn James was awarded a gold medal in the under 17 (50kgs) category.

Anika Preema won a gold medal in the under 19 (54kgs) category. R Mohith Kumaran was awarded a gold medal in the under 14 (50kgs) category and Kenneth Samuel received a bronze medal in the under 14 (53kgs) category. These accolades are undoubtedly the first of many to follow.












The Cottonian Shield

SJBHS Wins Interschool Cricket Tournament 2022
One of the most prominent Interschool Cricket Tournaments, The Cottonian Shield, was held by Bishop Cotton Boys' School. St Joseph's Boys' High School took part in the tournament in the U-16 and U-14 categories.

The final of the U-16 Cottonian Shield Interschool Cricket Tournament was played between hosts, Bishop Cotton Boys’ School and St. Joseph’s Boys’ High School on 18 July 2022.

The match was animated and the participants showed true sportsmanship, commitment to fair play, ethical behaviour and integrity, and general goodwill towards the opponent.
The teams were inspired to play harder by the thunder of applause coming from both opposing crowds.

After a graceful display of talent, St Joseph’s Boys’ High School (U-16) Cricket Team emerged the winners of ‘The Cottonian Shield’.

Inter-School Football

SJBHS Win Pre-Subroto Cup 2022!
St Joseph’s Boys’ High School was crowned champions for the second consecutive time, after scoring a 3:2 victory over Greenwood International in the finals of the CISCE U-17 Pre- Subroto Football Cup.
The school football team will now represent Karnataka at the National Subroto Cup to be held in Kolkata in July.
SJBHS were also hosts of the CISCE Regional Pre-Subroto Cup (U-17) Football Tournament 2022. The tournament was conducted from 21 June to 28 June 2022 at the Karnataka State Football Association Stadium.
A total of 13 teams contested for the championship. New Shams School, Bhatkal and Amber Valley School, Chikmagalur were among the participants.
Subroto Cup is a prestigious international, inter-school football tournament. It is named after the Indian Air Force Air Marshal Subroto Mukerjee. It is one of the more noteworthy school-level football competitions.
Regional Pre-Subroto Cup is the preliminary stage for the Subroto Cup.
The chief guest for the final event was Mr. Noel Anthony Wilson, former Indian, professional football player and also an Old Boy of St Joseph's Boys' High School. The guests of honour were Dr. B Gayathri Devi, principal co-ordinator CISCE sports and games and Mr. M Satyanarayan, Honourable General Secretary of KSFA.

Aquatics

The students of St Joseph’s Boys’ High School participated in the State Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior Aquatic Championships for the academic year 2021-2022 conducted from the 23rd to the 28th of September 2021. They won several medals attesting that hard work and commitment are always rewarded.

In Group III, Shawn Dominic won a bronze medal in the 50 metre-backstroke event and the 50 metre-freestyle event. Adrian Neil Serrao won silver medals in the 50 metre and the 100 metre-backstroke events. He was also awarded a silver medal in 50 metre- breaststroke event and a bronze medal in the100 metre-breaststroke event. Adrian also represented Karnataka at the National Level and was ranked among the top eight in the country.

Our students also participated in the KLE University State Sub-Junior and Junior Aquatic Championship held at Belagavi from the 26th to the 29th of May 2022. They bagged several awards in the Group I and Group II Categories. Daniel Paul J. (Group II Category) won a silver medal in the 200 metre-breaststroke event and a bronze medal in the100 metre-breaststroke event. Akash Mani (Group I Category) won bronze medals in the 50 metre, 100 metre and 200 metre-backstroke events. He was also awarded a bronze medal in the 4 x 10 metres medley. Shreyas Manjunath won a bronze medal in the 4 x 100 metres freestyle and 4 x 200 metres medley.

The Mini Olympics Championship was held in Bengaluru and our students participated in various events. They won several medals in different categories. In aquatics, Daniel Paul J. won a gold medal in the 200 metre-breaststroke event, bronze medals in the 100 metre-breaststroke event and the 100-metre relay. Surya J. T. won a gold medal in the 400 metre-individual medley and was awarded a silver medal in the 200 metre-individual medley. He also obtained a silver medal in the 4 x 100 metres-medley relay and the 4 x 100 metres-freestyle relay.

Gymnastics

Bengaluru District Level Gymnastic Championship 2022 was conducted from the 30th April to the 1st of May. In the U-14 Category, Khush Merlecha won a gold medal in the Acrobatics Mixed Pair Event. He also won a gold medal in the same category in the Mini Olympics Games in Gymnastics.

Athletics

R. Jhukesh Prithvi participated in the Mini Olympics Championship in Athletics and won a silver medal in high jump.
