World Environment Day Celebrations

World Environment Day 2016 was celebrated on the 7th of June, 2016 - with a special assembly graced by chief guests, Mr. Gautam Prakash and Mr. Sankarshan from the NGO ‘Reap Benefit’. This NGO was instrumental in the water conservation project in SJBHS, for the year 2015-2016.

As the school flag was hoisted and the school anthem sung, the solemn prayer called upon the God of all Creation to shower His blessings on the environment which is under the threat of unchartered climate change, unprecedented global warming and unabated degradation of Mother Earth.

To mark the day, saplings were planted, the ‘Earth Song’ was sung and poems as well as pledges were made. There was a sale of saplings in the campus of SJBHS. Notice boards bore messages of the ill effects of environmental damage. Green was the colour of the day to highlight the beauty of a Green Earth.
